Crazy Dog Attack!

Ok, this has nothing to do with zany adventures overseas, but it's crazy enough I must write about it.

My grandfather in India has 2 Alsatians (sp?)...don't know what they are, but they look like Bond villain dogs (remember? snap your fingers, they eat raw meat?) Anyway, I've tried to forge some kind of friendship with them for the last week. Some of you are already laughing. I decided it was time to work off my phobia and try to get to know these demon animals... it was going alright, although Bruno and Breezy took turns jumping on me (like jumping on my neck and head, literally). But I was getting over it. Petting them, getting used to them drooling on me, etc. Just trying to be like everyone else, I'm a dog person now! Look at me! It was all a sham.

Today, the vet came over. Long of the short of it, Bruno ended up trying to gnaw his left arm off... it was the freakiest thing I ever saw (not that I saw much, as soon as it's fangs came out, I ran as fast as I could away.) It was like Cujo mixed with a little Jaws. Terrifying. The vet was shaking like he needed some serious whisky, he had 6 (!) bite marks through his arms. I know I won't have an audience here, but really, humans and animals of any sort aren't made to live together. Dogs particularly. Ticks, disease, expense, smell, slobber, yecch.

NOTE: I'm not sure of the correct usage of 'fangs', but trust me, these were fangs.
